INVISA INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN 14th ANNUAL CONFERENCE FOR THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MUSEUM FACILITIES ADMINISTRATORS
Sarasota, FL, June 21, 2004
- Invisa, Inc. (OTC BB: INSA), an electronic life safety and security company that has commercialized patented presence-sensing technologies, announced today that the company has been invited to present to at the 14th Annual International Association of Museum Facilities Administrators (IAMFA) Conference.
The conference, held in Boston, runs from September 19th-22nd, 2004. Five Boston area museums expect to host approximately 200 museum facilities administrators from around the world.
Invisa management will present a case study that illustrates the use of InvisaShield™ capacitive sensors for protecting and securing valuable exhibits. Herb Lustig, President and CEO of Invisa, said "We are honored to be invited to showcase our security solutions before an illustrious international group that will include representatives from many of the world's most important museums. We will describe and demonstrate how InvisaShield technology has been used to solve a specific security challenge, namely, that of providing open access to exhibits -- while protecting them from vandalism or inadvertent damage."
InvisaShield technology has been demonstrated in security applications that include detection of intruders who violate a sensing zone around an object (a zone ranging from a few millimeters up to one meter) and detection along a fence perimeter. Invisa sensors have been in service at a major New England museum since April 2003.
InvisaShield capacitive-sensing technology is also used in SmartGate® safety systems. These systems generate an invisible field around the potentially hazardous leading edge of powered gates, garage doors, sliding doors and other powered closures.
